1. Purpose

Scans and repairs everyday pipe-run defects: open ends, skewed elbows, overlapping segments. Use it after finishing an area, before combining runs or issuing sheets.

3. Steps

Open a view showing the pipe area to check. [image 01: the pipe area to check]
Click Fix pipe in the VP_MEP tab, Plumbing panel.
The tool scans and repairs common issues on the open runs. It runs silently — eyeball the runs yourself when it finishes. [image 02: the runs after the fix]
Connect by hand whatever is still open. [image 03: checking joints after the fix]

4. Real-world example

A typical floor with 100+ pipe segments is too much to check by hand. Click Fix pipe — tiny open ends and skewed elbows get cleaned up, leaving just 2 large gaps to connect manually.

5. Common errors

Symptom	Fix
Gaps remain after the run	Beyond auto-repair — connect those segments by hand
Nothing visibly changes	The open view holds no faulty pipes — open the right area, then rerun
A pipe moved off position	Undo, pin the reference pipes, then rerun
