1. Purpose
Swaps the title block family — say from A3 to A1 — across many sheets at once, instead of opening every sheet to swap it. Use it when the paper size changes mid-project or when standardising one title block across the set.

[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]
3. Steps
- Select the sheets to swap in the Project Browser (hold Ctrl for multi-select). [image 01: selected sheets in the Project Browser]
- Click Change title block type in the VP_LAYOUT tab, Sheets panel (inside the title-block group).
- In the dialog, pick the new title block type and click OK. [image 02: title-block picker dialog]
- The tool swaps the title block on each sheet and reports the result. Open 1–2 sheets to check: the new frame replaced the old one, inner views untouched. [image 03: sheet after the title-block swap]
4. Real-world example
The set was drafted on an A3 frame; the client now wants A1 submissions. Select every sheet in the Project Browser, run the command, pick the A1 frame, OK — the whole set changes size in a minute. Then run Align sheets to settle the viewports on the new frames.
5. Common errors
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Wanted title block missing from the list | That title-block family is not loaded in the project — load the family first, then rerun |
| Viewports sit off-frame after swapping | New size, different proportions — run Align sheets to line them up again |
| Need to know which frame each sheet uses before swapping | Use the sibling Check title blocks button in the same group to list every title block in the project |
