Combine 2E1Y version v2 (2E1Yv2)
Create a 2E1Y assembly using algorithm version 2.
1. Purpose
Joins a distant branch into the main as a 2-elbow + 1-Y-branch assembly using the version-2 algorithm. Use it when both the standard build and version v1 fail — version 2 covers the remaining geometry style.

3. Steps
- Open a 3D view showing both the main and the branch to join. [image 01: main and branch before joining]
- Click 2E1Yv2 inside the Gom pulldown in the VP_MEP tab, Plumbing panel.
- When asked to pick the main pipe, click it. [image 02: picking the main pipe]
- When asked to pick the branch pipe, click it. The tool builds the 2-elbow + Y-branch assembly with the version-2 algorithm. [image 03: the finished version-v2 assembly]
4. Real-world example
A DN110 branch is both skewed and offset in elevation from the stack; the standard and v1 builds both give up. Switching to 2E1Yv2 — the version-2 algorithm builds the elbow assembly for exactly this offset, saving three hand-sketched segments.
5. Common errors
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Esc mid-way loses everything | The command works as a pick pair — restart from the main-pipe pick |
| All three versions fail | The run is too tough — sketch two elbows by hand, then fix up |
| The assembly lands with a gap | The DN pair has no shared tee size — check both DNs, then rerun |
