Make an internal thread (RenTrong)

Process internal threads on a pipe connector.

Ribbon location:
VP_MEP > Plumbing
Command:
RenTrong

1. Purpose

Cuts internal threads on pipe connectors for male-threaded fittings: valves, meters, equipment stubs. Use it when stub details must show the thread type on the issued sheets.

2. Quick video (≤ 2 minutes)

[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]

3. Steps

  1. Open a view showing the end fittings that need threads. [image 01: end fittings awaiting threads]
  2. Click Internal thread in the VP_MEP tab, Plumbing panel.
  3. When asked to pick a fitting, click each fitting that needs an internal thread (press Esc to finish). [image 02: picking a fitting]
  4. The tool threads each picked fitting; verify the thread callout on the connectors. [image 03: connectors with internal threads]

4. Real-world example

A bathroom group has 6 DN20 stubs for angle valves, and the design calls for female threads. Click Internal thread, pick the 6 stub fittings — all threads land at once, no per-stub annotation by hand.
