Set the box top/bottom faces (Section top/bot)
Set the top and bottom of the section box from Level and offset in mm.
1. Purpose
Quickly sets the top/bottom faces of an already-active section box by level + mm offset — lighter than Section box top/bot when the box exists. Use it mid-review: the box is on, just clamp it to the right floor range.
2. Quick video (≤ 2 minutes)
[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]
3. Steps
- Open a 3D view with its Section Box already enabled (the command refuses views without one). [image 01: 3D view with an active section box]
- Click Section top/bot inside Section box in the VP_MEP tab, View panel.
- In the dialog, pick the Level and mm offset for the top and bottom faces, then OK. [image 02: level-plus-offset dialog for Top/Bot]
- The box clamps to the chosen range; the side faces stay put.
4. Real-world example
A 3D view cutting all 5 floors is visual noise. Run the command, pick Top = level 4, Bot = level 3 — the box holds exactly one floor for duct review, sides untouched.
5. Common errors
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| "Chỉ hỗ trợ View3D." | Switch to a 3D view and rerun |
| "View3D hiện tại chưa bật Section Box." | Enable the 3D view's Section Box first (in Properties), then rerun |
| "Không tìm thấy Level trong project." | The file has no Levels yet — create storey levels first |
| "Cao độ Top phải lớn hơn cao độ Bot." | Reorder so Top sits above Bot (offsets included) |
