Size the pipe by SK count (Set DN by SK)
Set the nominal diameter from the selected SK.
1. Purpose
Sizes a pipe's nominal diameter (DN) by how many sprinklers it serves, looking it up automatically from the SKData table shipped with the tool. No manual table lookup: count SKs → the pipe gets the right DN.

[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]
3. Steps
- Pre-select the sprinklers the pipe run must serve. [image 01: selecting the SKs of one run]
- Click Set DN by SK in the VP_MEP tab, Fire fighting panel.
- Pick 1 Pipe when the tool asks for it. [image 02: picking the pipe to size]
- The tool counts the selected SKs, looks up the SKData table (SK count → DN), and assigns the diameter to the pipe in a single transaction.
4. Real-world example
A branch run of uncertain size serves 8 sprinklers. Select the 8 SKs, run the command, pick the pipe — the tool looks up the table and sets the right DN (e.g. DN50), no standard-book lookup per run.
5. Common errors
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| "Vui lòng chọn SK." | Select at least 1 sprinkler before running the command |
| "Không tìm thấy dữ liệu SKData.json." | The lookup table Store/SKData.json next to the tool is missing — reinstall or restore the file |
| "Không lấy được Pipe." | Pick a real Pipe object (not a fitting or flexible pipe) |
| The assigned DN still looks wrong | Check the SKData table: an SK count above the largest row falls back to the last row |
