Connect a sprinkler to the main pipe (SKPipe1)
Filter and process the SKPipe1 pipe group.
1. Purpose
Connects 1 fire sprinkler (SK) to the main pipe in one click, instead of hand-drawing each branch segment and elbow. Use it when laying out sprinklers: every SK needs one branch up to the main run.
2. Quick video (≤ 2 minutes)
[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]
3. Steps
- Open the fire-fighting plan that already has sprinklers and the main pipe run. [image 01: SK and main pipe on the plan]
- Click SKPipe1 in the VP_MEP tab, Fire fighting panel.
- Pick 1 sprinkler when the tool asks for it.
- Pick 1 main pipe when the tool asks for it. [image 02: pick order — SK first, then main pipe]
- The tool draws the branch from the SK to the main, adds the elbow, and joins it into the run. The pipe is connected — no manual joining needed.
4. Real-world example
An office floor has 40 ceiling sprinklers and a DN65 main running along the corridor. For each SK: run the command, pick the SK, pick the main — the branch draws and connects itself. All 40 SKs done without hand-drawing a single pipe segment.
5. Common errors
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| "Khong lay duoc SK hoac Pipe hop le." | Pick a real sprinkler family (Sprinklers category) and a Pipe, then rerun |
| Pressing Esc mid-way stops the command | Normal — the command cancels quietly, just start over |
| A detailed error appears after picking both objects | Read it carefully (usually the SK elevation cannot reach the pipe), then fix the model |

- Connect many sprinklers along a direction (ASKPipe1) — pull one DN25 branch across many SKs at once.
- Connect the farthest sprinkler (ASKPipe2) — run to the farthest SK as Tee or Elbow.
