1. Purpose
Copies the full Visibility/Graphics setup (hidden categories, line overrides, transparency...) from one model view to one other view of the same type in one click. Use it when two plans must look identical: polish one view, then clone its look onto the next.
2. Quick video (≤ 2 minutes)
[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]
3. Steps
- Keep at least 2 eligible views open (Plan/Section/Elevation only — no templates, no sheets): one source with finished VG plus the target view. [image 01: several view tabs open]
- Click Copy VG in the VP_LAYOUT tab, Layout panel.
- In the dialog, pick the source and target views, then click Copy — the view template is always copied along. [image 02: source-and-target picker dialog]
- The tool copies each VG category into the target view, always carries the view template across, and shows an OK/SKIP/FAIL summary — if source and target are different view types the command stops with an error before copying anything. [image 03: VG copy result table]
4. Real-world example
Level 1's VG is done: furniture off, pipes overridden red, architecture halftoned. Open level 1 and level 2, run the command, pick level 1 as source and level 2 as target, click Copy — level 2 renders like level 1; repeat pair by pair until all 12 levels match, and no sheet viewport looks off-tone.
5. Common errors
| Symptom (tool message, Vietnamese) | Fix |
|---|---|
| At least 2 valid open views required | Open more views (only Plan/Section/Elevation count, minus templates and sheets), then rerun |
| "Source view và target view phải khác nhau." | Source equals target — pick two different views |
| Cannot copy between two different view types | Source and target differ in view type — copy within one type only |
| "Đã xảy ra lỗi khi copy VG" with a reason | Read the reason line (usually the target view locks a template) — unlock and rerun |
