Reroute many runs around clashes (Reroute multiple)
Reroute to avoid collisions with multiple elements.
1. Purpose
Bends a whole bundle hitting one obstacle in a single run: select many runs, pick one shared start–end pair, type the offset and angle once for all. Faster than bending runs one by one with Reroute.
2. Quick video (≤ 2 minutes)
[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]
3. Steps
- Open a view showing the bundle hitting the obstacle. [image 01: pipe bundle blocked by a beam]
- Click Reroute multiple inside Reroute Tools in the VP_MEP tab, Common panel.
- Select the runs to bend when asked.
- Pick the shared start and end points for the whole bundle — the middle is what bends aside. [image 02: start–end points bracketing the obstacle]
- In the dialog, type the vertical offset (mm), pick the fitting angle, OK — the whole bundle bends aside together. [image 03: the bundle after rerouting]
4. Real-world example
Three runs (cold water, hot water, fire) hit the lobby beam on floor 1. Select all 3, pick start–end around the beam, type 400 mm offset at 45 degrees — all 3 loop over the beam, evenly spaced.
5. Common errors
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| One run forgotten in the bundle | Rerun for the missed run with the same offset/angle to match |
| Shared offset too small for the biggest run | Size the offset by the biggest run/obstacle from the start |
| Only one run actually clashes | Use single-clash Reroute instead |

- Reroute around one clash — bend runs individually.
- Align pipes on the plan — realign evenly after bending.
- Split a gap on the run — just split the segment without bending aside.
