Switch language (Vietnamese — English)

Hit the Tiếng Việt/English toggle in VP_Manage, then restart Revit.

Ribbon location:
VP_Manage > Manage
Command:
SetLanguageVietnamese, SetLanguageEnglish

1. Purpose

Flips every button name and command hint between Vietnamese and English in one click, instead of living with the slower-reading language. One switch covers all commands — nothing to change per button.

2. Quick video (≤ 2 minutes)

[Video in production — follow the steps below for now.]

3. Steps

  1. Open the VP_Manage tab on the ribbon and look at the Manage panel: a two-button radio toggle Tiếng Việt / English — the lit one is the current language. [image 01: the language toggle in the Manage panel]
  2. Click the language you want. The tool saves the choice and reports "Language saved. Restart Revit so the ribbon shows the selected language." [image 02: the language-saved notice]
  3. Close Revit fully and reopen it — the ribbon now speaks the chosen language. The restart is mandatory because Revit only builds the ribbon once at startup. [image 03: the ribbon after switching and reopening]

4. Real-world example

The machine runs Vietnamese, but a foreign manager wants English command names to cross-check documents. Click English, restart Revit — all 3 tabs show English names. Click Tiếng Việt back at day's end, restart once more, and everything is home again. Each direction costs exactly one Revit restart.

5. Common errors

SymptomFix
Clicked, but the UI looks the sameThe new language only applies after a restart — quit Revit entirely (not just the file), then reopen
"Could not save the language"The tool cannot write its settings file — check write access to the settings folder (%AppData%\VP_RevitAPI) and retry
Numbers and dates keep the old style after switchingBy design: the toggle only changes the display language; number/date formats keep following the Windows region
